Fire testing for marine
applications
Testing for marine applications usually means testing for Lloyds
Register of Shipping or the former Department of Transport, using tests in accordance
with the IMO or Exchange of Notes regulations. Extra liaison with the
authorities is required, as they require to witness tests.
Other than that, the rules are much
the same as for "normal" testing.- know how to design and build the specimen,
and know which specimen to build!
I'm sorry, I don't have a good photo
of a ship on fire - have you?
